What if someone walked up to you and told you that you were fat or ugly. What would you say? What would you react like? Would you feel angry or confused?  Would you wonder if you were really fat or ugly?

Now, imagine that someone comes up to you and says the complete opposite and tells you how beautiful that you are. How would that make you feel?  Would you feel happy and would you be able to accept that and accept that to be truth?

What happens when you are the one that talks negatively to yourself? Do you constantly put yourself down and forget that you need to hear words of appreciation? Do you want to say things that are better? Saying good things to yourself are affirmations.

How Do Affirmations Work?

Affirmations are statements that can be said to yourself that will help you to improve your subconscious mind. This can take away your doubt and allow you to reach your goals and to feel better about yourself.

Learning to have confidence is a way that you can motivate yourself and that you can feel happy. When you bring about motivation and realization, you can live a happier life.

Ways to Use Affirmations

Using affirmations are something that you can do each day and it is easy. You can use the affirmations by talking to yourself and it will keep you going the right way in your life.

Calming

Learn to calm your mind and allow yourself to be more open to new things. Be relaxed and you can do this by meditating and having control of your mind.

Read Them

Write down some affirmations and take time to read them each day. Look in the mirror and say them and really mean them.

Morning and Night

Read your affirmations right when you wake up and right before you go to bed. Doing this can allow you to be more positive and to have an open mind about yourself. Repeat your affirmations over and over again.

Silent

You can say your affirmations in your mind if you need to. Say them at least 3 or 4 times a day. Allow them to go into your mind.

Repeat your affirmations and if you can say them out loud, do it. If you are in a place where you cannot talk out loud, say them in your mind.

Everywhere

Put your affirmations on the mirror, in your car, beside your desk and anywhere that you visit. Do this so that you can read them all throughout the day.

The more you see these and read them the better you will feel.

Learn to journal your affirmations. Write down new affirmations each day. You can feel powerful when you say these over and over again and you can become more confident.
